This Art Nouveau rectangular bronze stamp box has a hinged round top and is raised on ball feet with the sides displaying a pierced grapevine pattern with a slag glass background. The grapevine was one of the earliest desk set patterns for Tiffany and comprised over 25 different pieces. The glass was either green, blue or amber as in this example. With the pierced metalwork it was designed to be reminiscent of Tiffany's stained glass windows.
